Novis is best known for his in-your-face portraits including music legends George Harrison, John Lennon, David Bowie, Bob Marley, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, and U2's Bono; movie stars Joanna Lumley, Marilyn Monroe, Steve McQueen, Jerome Flynn, Audrey Helpburn and Brigitte Bardot; sporting giants David Beckham, Muhammad Ali and Laurence Dallaglio. His expansive body of work also features British icons such as Churchill, Punch and Doc Martens, endangered wildlife and domestic pets, and striking abstracts often subliminally inspired.
